Green and Simplicity

Green living has become quite cliche. For me, however, it harkens me back to a time when life for me was relatively less affluent, but simpler. As an immigrant, over time, I lost some of the values that were employed when we had to be more thoughtful about the resources we had. Life threw me a curve ball and I had to regain and reconnect with that energy of conservation. Its not all about solar panels, most of it comes down to the choices I make daily. Now working as a Realtor, community developer and researcher, I decided to put my journey to work in a fundamentally different way by focusing on how to make green living less about fancy remodeling, a badge of honor for the wealthy, or about being bohemian. Green, the JANYO way I envision it, means bringing resource smart living to communities of ALL income levels by revitalizion, education and wise consuming. Join me on the journey if you will! Peace!

I am happy to join you in your journey. Thank you for your efforts to bring green living and development to diverse communities...even harried middle class mamas that think they are too busy & coupon-clipping to be green. I look forward to your guidance in how to set an example for my kids on how to treat this earth right.

That is the funny thing..we are busier even though we have more technology. I hope I can inspire myself to be less busy and more in-tune with the universe- then pass it on:)
